Atlanta Braves Announce Jim Jarvis Decision
Ahead of the series opener on Friday, the Atlanta Braves announced their starting lineup.

After starting two out of the three games against the Marlins, Jim Jarvis has been dropped from the team’s lineup for Friday’s game in New York. Ha-Seong Kim will make his first start at shortstop since being activated off the injured list.
Jarvis has struggled in his last three starts as he’s gone 0-for-10.
Overall this season, Jarvis is batting .241 with 21 hits, five doubles, one triple, one home run, nine runs and 10 RBIs in 28 games. Defensively, he’s registered -1 fielding run value according to Baseball Savant due to his -2 outs above average.
He is Atlanta’s 17th-best prospect, according to MLB.com
Braves Right Now
Despite their issues at the shortstop position, the Atlanta Braves are in the middle of a hot streak. They have won eight consecutive games and now hold an 8.5 game lead over the Philadelphia Phillies in the National League East.
Trade deadline acquisition Tyler Mahle is set to make his first start for the Braves on Friday. Prior to joining the Braves, Mahle made 18 starts with the Giants this season, posting a 3-9 record with a 5.13 ERA.
Yankees Right Now
Meanwhile, The New York Yankees have also announced their starting lineup.

The Yankees fell to 64-51 after dropping the series against the St. Louis Cardinals. New York has gone 5-5 over their last 10 games and are now 4.5 games behind the Tampa Bay Rays in the American League East.
Left-hander Max Fried will aim to get the Yankees back on track as he makes his 14th start of the season. Fried enters Friday’s game with a 4-3 record and a 3.12 ERA in 75 innings this season.
