Atlanta Braves Make Michael Harris II Decision During Yankees Series

The Atlanta Braves’ 8-game winning streak came to an end on Friday evening with a 3-2 loss at the hands of the New York Yankees.

However, the Braves have a great opportunity to pick up right back where they left off with ace Chris Sale on the mound for game two.

Before the Braves-Yankees game on Saturday, Atlanta revealed its lineup, which includes a notable Michael Harris II decision. Harris II had a day off on Friday, likely due to the LHP Max Fried getting the start for New York.

After a rare day off for Michael Harris II, he is back in the Braves lineup for Saturday’s contest, batting fourth and playing center field.

New York is rolling with Gerrit Cole on Sat., so having Harris II is a wise move by manager Walt Weiss.

Michael Harris II is having a very strong season offensively for the Braves this season.

Other 2026 stats for Harris II are: 3.8 bWAR, OPS+: 122, 24 doubles, 58 runs scored, and 208 total bases.

With Gerrit Cole on the mound for the Yankees, Harris II has a semi-favorable matchup.

Looking at the Braves overall right now, they are 15-6 since the MLB All-Star break, which is good for the best mark in the NL.
