Who is Bryson Graham? Getting to Know the Bulls’ New Lead Executive

The Chicago Bulls have found their new head of basketball operations.

Following an extensive search, the Bulls have hired Bryson Graham to replace Artūras Karnišovas as the Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations.

“We’re excited to name Bryson Graham as our Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations. Bryson is an elite talent evaluator who has earned tremendous respect across the league, and that stood out immediately during our process,” said Michael Reinsdorf, President & Chief Executive Officer of the Chicago Bulls.

Here are a few things to know about the Bulls’ new lead executive.

Bryson Graham is a Superb Basketball Scout

As Bulls CEO Michael Reinsdorf pointed out, Graham has earned a reputation as an elite talent evaluator.

During his tenure as a front office exec for the New Orleans Pelicans, Graham brought in several notable prospects. This includes Zion Williamson, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Naji Marshall, Herb Jones, Trey Murphy III, Jose Alvarado, Dyson Daniels, and Yves Missi.

“He understands today’s league, today’s players, and what it takes to develop talent and build a winning culture. Just as important, Bryson is committed to building a high-level group around him,” said Reinsdorf.

Now, taking over for a Bulls team without a superstar on the roster, Graham’s scouting ability will be paramount to rebuilding the roster.

Graham isn’t without his misses, but he has proven an ability to acquire talent in droves.

Hopefully, for the Bulls’ sake, he can do the same in Chicago.

Bryson Graham Has Ample NBA Exec Experience

Graham, a 2009 Texas A&M alumnus and former Aggie hooper, began his career with the New Orleans Pelicans.

Starting as an intern with the Pelicans in 2010, he quickly climbed the ranks within the organization. He later served as a Player Development Director, Basketball Operations Associate, Video Coordinator, Scouting Coordinator, and Director of College Scouting.

In 2019, Graham was promoted to Assistant General Manager of the Pelicans, a role he held until June 2024. After that, he was promoted to General Manager, capping an impressive ascension through the Pelicans organization.

Graham joins Chicago after most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Basketball Operations for the Atlanta Hawks (2025-26).

“I am incredibly honored to join the Chicago Bulls organization,” said Graham. “This is one of the most storied franchises in the history of professional basketball, and I feel a tremendous sense of responsibility to deliver results for this city and these fans.

“My entire career has been built on the belief that sustained success starts with finding the right players and developing an all-around impactful culture. I want to thank Jerry and Michael Reinsdorf and the entire Bulls organization for presenting me with this opportunity. I am ready to get to work.”

Can Bryson Graham Revive The Bulls?

Fixing the Bulls won’t be easy, but Graham could be the man for the job.

The former Pelicans general manager won’t turn the organization around overnight, but could eventually mold them into a playoff contender once again.

Plus, with two first-round picks at his disposal in the upcoming 2026 NBA Draft, Graham will look to hit the ground running in his debut season.
