Shane Lowry is off to a solid start to the PGA Tour season, and his wife Wendy Lowry is providing fans with a trip down memory lane. Wendy took to Instagram to share an old photo of the couple from 2013. Fans may not recognize Shane without his signature beard.
“Babies 😍 Irish open in Carton House 2013!” Wendy noted in the February 16, 2026, Instagram post.
On the course, Shane had another solid week at the Cognizant Classic. Over his career, Shane has posted three PGA Tour wins while earning more than $31 million since turning pro in 2009.
While Shane’s social media page is mostly golf related, Wendy often gives fans an inside look at the Lowry family life. At the start of the new year, Wendy shared photos from the couple’s holiday festivities.
“Family and Friends ❤️ lovely time at home for Christmas 🎄 Ready to hibernate now ✨,” Wendy explained in a January 2, message.

Shane Lowry & Wife Wendy Lowry Are the Proud Parents of 2 Daughters
Wendy and Shane are the proud parents of two daughters: Iris and Ivy. The couple’s oldest daughter Iris was born in March 2017, while the youngest was born in September 2021.
During a July 20, 2024, interview with “Beyond the Clubhouse,” Shane discussed enjoying golf with his daughter.
“You know what, I’ve never once tried to get her to go play,” Shane remarked. “I’ve waited until she’s asked me to go and she’ll do an hour now where she’ll hit golf balls and I’ll sit there behind her and I’ll bring a wedge or something myself and we’ll talk and we’ll video her swing.
“And she’ll look at it just because she wants to look at it and not because I’m trying to teach her anything. I just tell her to hit it as hard as she can and she’s actually got a pretty good swing and she loves it, which is amazing for me,” Shane added.
“I never knew, or I still don’t know if she’s going to be into the game, but I would love if she was. But I’m certainly not going to push her if she wants to do it. She can do whatever she wants to do and if golf is that, that’d be great.”
After the 2016 Masters, Shane & Wife Wendy Got Married in New York City
Shane is from Clara, Ireland, but the couple actually got married in New York City. Wendy and Shane tied the knot in April 2016, about one week after the Masters.
“My wife Wendy and I decided around Christmas (in 2015) that we were going to do this,” Lowry explained to Golf Magazine in 2016. “We just needed to book a hotel, book flights, do the paperwork.
“We left the Masters on Sunday evening, flew up, got to the hotel at about 11 p.m. We were up the next morning, going down to City Hall to register — and we’re gettin’ married! We love New York. It’s such a good place — our favorite place in the world.”
