Fever’s Caitlin Clark Gave 5-Word Response to Eighth Technical Foul

The Indiana Fever had to gut it out, but they got an important 90-86 win over the Chicago Sky on Saturday.

Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell led the way in scoring with 27. It was Caitlin Clark who stole the show with 26 points, 11 assists, 4 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1 block.

Clark had a controversial moment in the game when she was called for her eighth technical foul of the season. She made contact with a referee, which now means that she is facing a one-game suspension. Clark made sure to share her feelings on the incident, though.

After the game, ESPN’s Holly Rowe interviewed Clark and Mitchell about their performances in the win. Rowe asked Clark about her eighth technical foul and made it clear that she did not do it on purpose and will wait for the WNBA to make a ruling on it. Clark closed out the interview with five words.

“I’ll see you on Tuesday.”

The WNBA has the right to review the technical foul and rescind the call. If they decide not to, Clark will have to face a one-game suspension for Tuesday’s game against the New York Liberty.

This season, Clark is averaging 21.5 points, 8 assists, and 3.9 rebounds per game. She has made three straight All-Star Games in her career.

The Fever picked up a critical 20th win on the season to move to 20-12 in 2026. Indiana jumped the Atlanta Dream in the standings, now sitting in fourth place.

It was a win the Fever needed, as it broke a two-game losing streak. Now things won’t get any easier for Indiana.

After the Liberty game on Tuesday, the Fever have to face the Dallas Wings and the Dream. All three teams would be in the playoffs if it started.

This is why it is more important than ever that the Fever have Clark during this stretch. Clark can do so much besides scoring, as she can make the pass and help with collecting the boards.

Indiana will have to wait and see what happens with Clark and whether the league will change its mind. Clark is needed, so the hope is they will go back on it, and she will be able to play in a massive game.
