Cowboys To Make Brandon Aubrey Highest Paid Kicker in NFL History

The Dallas Cowboys have had looming questions about contracts this past offseason.

And whilst perhaps the more notorious name mentioned for an extension is wide receiver George Pickens, who received the team’s franchise tag that gave him a one-year $27.3 million deal for the 2026 season, another big name in the extension conversation has been kicker Brandon Aubrey.

And on Monday April 20 that conversation was finally concluded, as the 2022 undrafted free agent has signed a four year, $28 million extension with the Cowboys that makes him the highest paid kicker in NFL history.

Brandon Aubrey and the Dallas Cowboys reached agreement today on a deal that will make Aubrey the highest paid kicker in NFL history. The four-year extension makes Aubrey the first kicker to earn $7 million per year and receive $20 million guaranteed, per Todd France and AJ Stevens of Athletes First.” ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported.

Schefter’s ESPN colleague Todd Archer also reports that Aubrey will receive an $8.25 million, which is shy of the record $11.5 million bonus handed to former Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker in 2022.
