Man fatally stabbed in Northridge, suspect arrested

A 30-year-old man was arrested Thursday night, Jan. 8, on suspicion of stabbing to death another man in Northridge, authorities said.

Los Angeles police were called to an apartment complex in the 8600 block of Wilbur Avenue about 9:40 p.m. and found a 35-year-old man with at least one stab wound, Los Angeles police spokesman Officer Drake Madison said.

Investigators learned that the two men got into an argument before the suspect pulled a knife and stabbed the victim, Madison said.

The suspect ran away but was found and taken into custody.

Separate videos from Key News Network, a freelance news organization that sometimes works with the Southern California News Group, show officers investigating a front-facing apartment on Wilbur Avenue and taking a man into custody inside a Vons grocery store before leading him outside to a squad SUV.

The victim was not identified by police pending notification of his relatives.
