“I mean, obviously, it’s special. It’s amazing to the names. To do that with the career that he had here at NASCAR, obviously starting out in Las Vegas, and being a kid growing up racing dwarf cars, legends, late models, all that stuff, and then making it to the big time, and having a lot of highs, having some lows, you know.”

He then elaborated on Kurt’s major results and milestones, illustrating why his résumé warranted a Hall of Fame induction.

“But being able to career that he had with a bunch of wins and Daytona 500 win, a Coach 600 win, all star win. I mean, he checked all the boxes, I think, except Brickyard. I’ve checked all the boxes, except Daytona, you know what I mean. So obviously, a story career for him. It’s really exciting to see him go in and ready for that celebration.”

Through these remarks, Kyle tied Kurt’s earliest racing experiences to his most significant victories, demonstrating how both brothers define success through NASCAR’s top achievements.

Kurt Busch honors family during Hall of Fame speech

During his NASCAR Hall of Fame induction, Kurt Busch turned the spotlight away from trophies and onto the family that shaped his career. As reported by Rohan Singh of EssentiallySports, Busch framed the moment as a tribute to his parents and grandparents as much as his on-track success.

“Dad was always out front and winning like that, and that attitude was instilled in me. My mom is the best racer, Mom. She was always there for me. She volunteered at the track, assigning booth, qualifying line-up, and pay window. This is all while Grandma watched after me on the grandstands. Grandma Busch was the best grandma and the voice of reason. We all know all star race in our family. You know she always put others first, but her hamburgers were legend.”

His words point to a foundation built at home. Racing was work, not play, and effort mattered as much as talent.
