NFL Trade Pitch Sends Vikings $52 Million WR

The Minnesota Vikings could still use a more capable third wide receiver on their depth chart. This weekend, Vikings Territory’s Dustin Baker presented a new trade scenario Minnesota could pursue for wideout Jerry Jeudy.

Baker proposed the Vikings potentially offer a fifth or sixth-round pick to the Cleveland Browns for Jeudy.

“Jeudy is slated to earn just over $10 million in 2026, a figure that appears to be a bargain for a receiver of his caliber. The primary concern is Cleveland’s persistent struggle to maximize his talent,” wrote Baker.

“Minnesota, however, presents a compelling alternative. Imagine Jeudy integrated into an offense alongside their quarterback, Justin Jefferson, and Jordan Addison. The resulting defensive spacing would be a nightmare for opponents. Minnesota is tailor-made for elite route runners, a role Jeudy excels in.

“If Cleveland is open to a trade, Minnesota should pursue the opportunity aggressively.”

With the struggling Browns quarterback situation last season, Jeudy posted 50 catches, 602 receiving yards and two touchdowns in 2025. The season prior, though, Jeudy led the Browns with 90 receptions and 1,229 receiving yards.

Both of those totals were career highs for the 27-year-old wideout. Behind the statistics, Jeudy earned a Pro Bowl nomination.

Jeudy began his career with the Denver Broncos. He eclipsed the 750-receiving yards mark three times in four seasons with the club.

The receiver has already been traded once in his career. The Broncos dealt Jeudy to the Browns two years ago.

After the trade, Jeudy signed a 3-year, $52.5 million contract in Cleveland.
