Broncos Get Boost Amid Potential Exit of Division Rival’s Superstar

The Denver Broncos may be getting a major boost in the AFC West, as a new report suggests Las Vegas Raiders star Maxx Crosby could be headed for an exit.

Longtime NFL insider Jay Glazer poured fuel on that speculation this week, saying he believes Crosby’s time in Las Vegas is likely over.

“I do… probably more than Micah,” Glazer said when asked if Crosby has played his last down with the Raiders.

He said that Crosby could command an even bigger return in a trade than Parsons last year.

For Broncos fans who have watched Crosby terrorize Denver quarterbacks for years, his departure would be great news.

If Crosby truly is nearing the end of his run in Las Vegas, it would remove one of the most disruptive forces the Broncos have faced inside the division.

His departure further highlights the growing contrast between a Broncos team trending upward and a Raiders franchise once again searching for answers.

Jay Glazer’s Report Highlights Tension in Las Vegas

Glazer’s comments this week didn’t come out of nowhere.

Late last season, Maxx Crosby made his frustration increasingly public after being shut down for the final two games of the year as the Raiders spiraled.

The team cited injury, but Crosby pushed back almost immediately.

He posted videos of himself running, jumping, and playing basketball on social media, a clear signal that he felt capable of playing and wanted to be on the field.

For a player who has consistently shown up regardless of the team’s record, Crosby was extremely unhappy by this decision.

Crosby has been the emotional and competitive heartbeat of the Raiders’ defense for years, yet the team around him has failed to convert elite production into sustained team success.

Glazer’s belief that a trade is coming only reinforces the sense that the relationship between Crosby and the Raiders may be coming to an end.

Why Crosby’s Potential Exit Matters for Broncos

For the Denver Broncos, Crosby potentially leaving the AFC West would be a huge relief.

Few defenders have caused Denver as many problems over the years.

In 14 career games against the Broncos, Maxx Crosby has piled up 40 solo tackles, 20 assists, and 16.5 sacks.

His presence alone often forced the Broncos to build entire game plans around trying to slow him down.

Zooming out, the situation also speaks to a bigger picture inside the division.

Crosby is a five-time Pro Bowler with 69.5 sacks, 133 tackles for loss, and 164 quarterback hits in just 110 career games.

If Las Vegas ultimately decides to move its franchise centerpiece, it would signal a full rebuild.

The Raiders hold the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft and are widely expected to select quarterback Fernando Mendoza.

If Glazer’s sources are accurate, the direction becomes clear.

The Raiders would be committing to a full rebuild around a rookie quarterback, while moving Maxx Crosby for what would likely be multiple first-round picks.

This potential decision would be a huge relief for the Broncos as they would not have to play one of the league’s best defenders twice a year.
