Before Monday’s series begins, the Red Sox have announced a roster move.
The Boston Red Sox wrote (via x): “The #RedSox today reinstated RHP Garrett Whitlock from the Paternity Leave List. To make room, Boston optioned RHP Tyler Uberstine to Triple-A Worcester.”

Uberstine was picked in the 19th round of the 2021 MLB Draft.
He has played in one career MLB game (this season).
The 26-year-old pitched 2.2 innings, allowing three hits, one earned run and one walk (with two strikeouts).
