We are no closer to finding out what set off the college student, but as she moves through the court process, more information on the aftermath of the incident has become available. Video captured in the back of a police cruiser shows Milania laughing and acting a bit strange, considering the situation she found herself in.</p>

<p id=”par-2_53″>Milania Giudice was arrested on May 14 after one of her sisters called police during an argument inside <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/rhonj-inside-teresa-giudice-and-luis-ruelas-luxurious-marital-mansion.html/”>the family’s Montville, New Jersey home</a>. A police report indicates the 20-year-old college student was “throwing food and candles.” The caller, later revealed to be Gabriella Giudice, told police that her sister was “acting erratically.”</p>

<p id=”par-3_66″>Police arrived and arrested Milania on simple assault. There were no injuries reported, though a judge did note during the arraignment that Milania had “knowingly” caused bodily harm. The victim was not referred to by full name; instead, the initials L.R. were used. The initials match the initials of Teresa’s husband, Luis Ruelas. He has not been idenitifed as someone involved in the situation, though. </p>

<p id=”par-4_34″><a href=”https://pagesix.com/2026/07/17/celebrity-news/see-downcast-milania-giudice-in-back-of-cop-car-after-domestic-violence-arrest/”>Page Six</a> has obtained footage captured inside the police cruiser that carried Milania away to jail. The footage seems to verify what Gabriella told police dispatchers: Milania’s behavior could certainly be described as erratic.</p>
<p id=”par-5_55″>Despite the seriousness of the charges against her, Milania is seen smiling and laughing during the ride. While large portions of the video show the 20-year-old quietly sitting in the cruiser, her body language suggests she didn’t take the arrest all that seriously. That demeanor has been echoed in her later comments on the situation.</p>

<p id=”par-6_62″>Shortly after news of the arrest broke, she took to social media to explain the situation by simply claiming that <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/milania-giudice-speaks-out-arrest-mugshot.html/”>sometimes things happen</a>. She also addressed an allegedly fake mugshot that circulated online. She said the fake mugshot was nothing like her real one, which she praised. Of her real mugshot, she said, “I ate down in my mugshot. I looked fire.”</p>
<p id=”par-7_16″>Teresa has not addressed Milania’s legal situation. Her next court appearance is set for August 11.</p>
