<p id=”par-1_57″>After playing college football for the North Dakota State Bison, Christian Watson was selected by the <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/these-celebrities-are-huge-green-bay-packers-fans-and-1-even-has-a-tattoo-to-prove-it.html/”>Green Bay Packers</a> in the second round of the 2022 <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/nfl/?swcfpc=1″>NFL</a> Draft. He began his pro career catching passes from <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/aaron-rodgers-asks-mystery-wife-brittanis-privacy-fans-question-married-reality-tv-star.html/”>quarterback Aaron Rodgers</a> and is now one of Jordan Love’s targets. He’s also missed a lot of playing time due to multiple injuries. </p>
<p id=”par-2_98″>In his first year, Watson suffered a minor knee injury that required surgery and caused him to miss most of training camp. However, he was able to suit up for the regular season. He eventually tied with Jahan Dotson and Kenneth Walker III for most touchdowns among all rookies. In 2023, he started the season with a hamstring injury and had to sit out several regular-season games. Then, in 2024, he suffered a non-contact injury in his right knee while running a route and was carted off the field. It was later determined that he tore his ACL. </p>
<p id=”par-3_22″>Watson returned to the field in October 2025, making his season debut in a Week 8 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. </p>

<p id=”par-5_33″>Lakyn Marie Adkins was born in North Dakota in 1999. She attended her local high school before enrolling at North Dakota State University and majoring in health sciences. There, she met Watson. </p>
<p id=”par-6_29″>Watson and Adkins became college sweethearts in 2017, after the then-freshmen were introduced through mutual friends at an NDSU football game. The two have been together ever since. </p>

<p id=”par-8_38″>They tied the knot on April 5, 2024, at the 40-acre Stone Mountain Estates in Malibu, California, in front of 85 guests. Some of those in attendance included singer Jordin Sparks and Watson’s teammates <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/green-bay-packers-wide-receiver-romeo-doubs-longtime-girlfriend-andrea.html/”>Romeo Doubs</a> and <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/green-bay-packers-quarterback-jordan-loves-ethnicity.html/”>Jordan Love</a>. </p>
<p id=”par-9_34″>The bride wore a satin Celine dress by Rime Arodaky, which featured a strapless bustier with pearl details and a high-slit wrap skirt. Watson rocked a custom dark green tuxedo by Alba and Alexander McQueen shoes.</p>
<p id=”par-10_69″>“Being married means being with the partner you chose for the rest of your life and building a family together and growing old together — it’s just you two taking on life together,” Adkins told <a href=”https://people.com/inside-nfl-star-christian-watson-wedding-lakyn-adkins-exclusive-8607664″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>People</a>. “We are huge homebodies and love to have dates at home, like movie nights, cooking dinner, or having takeout brought in. We have a relationship that is so unique to who we both are.”</p>
<p id=”par-11_35″>Her proud husband added, “We are team for life,” and she “lets me be me and do all of the things that I enjoy. Spending time together at home is one of my favorite things.”</p>
