On Thursday night, the Atlanta Braves completed a three-game sweep over the Miami Marlins.
They won by a score of 11-3.

Brent Suter made his Braves debut on Thursday.
He went 2.0 innings, allowing one earned run with one strikeout.
After the game, manager Walt Weiss spoke about Suter when he met with the media.
Weiss: “It was good to see Suter out there… I remember him working fast, but I forgot how fast… He’s great. He gets the ball and goes, and he throws strikes.”

Suter was picked in the 31st round of the 2012 MLB Draft.
He has also had stints with the Los Angeles Angels, Milwaukee Brewers, Cincinnati Reds and Colorado Rockies over 11 seasons at the MLB level.
ESPN’s Jeff Passan wrote (on August 3): “Trade news: The Atlanta Braves are acquiring left-handed reliever Brent Suter from the Los Angeles Angels for infielder Nacho Alvarez Jr., sources tell ESPN.”
On the season, Suter has gone 1-2 with a 4.13 ERA in 42 games (with three saves).
He wrote (via Instagram) earlier this week: “I will always have love and gratitude in my heart for the @angels and all the wonderful people associated with and fans of that organization. You took a chance on me and I’ll never forget that! Thank you for everything!! The next step of the journey is replicating the move I made as a kid in 1994 going from Anaheim to Atlanta and I couldn’t be more excited!! The opportunity to join a team and organization like the @braves is the opportunity of a lifetime and I can’t wait to get rolling! Thank you and let’s go Braves!!”

The Braves are at the top of the National League East with a 70-45 record in 115 games.
They will open up a series with the New York Yankees on Friday night in the Bronx.
