Who Is Jordan Spieth’s Wife, Annie Verret?

Jordan Spieth has spent more than a decade as one of the PGA Tour’s biggest stars, winning three major championships and becoming one of golf’s most recognizable players. Throughout his rise, Annie Verret has remained one of the most important people in his life.

The couple has largely kept their relationship private despite Spieth’s success on the PGA Tour. From their high school days in Texas to raising a family together, Verret has consistently supported Spieth during both victories and difficult stretches in his career.

Following Spieth’s return to winning form at the 2021 Valero Texas Open, the former Masters champion praised his wife for helping him through one of the toughest periods of his career.

“She’s just been that person that said, ‘Whatever you need to do, I’m here to support you,’” Spieth said during a press conference. “She’s been really unbelievable.”

Annie Verret and Jordan Spieth Met as High School Sweethearts

Annie Frances Verret was born in 1994 and raised in Coppell, Texas. She attended Ursuline Academy in Dallas, where she first met Spieth during their teenage years.

Spieth attended Jesuit College Preparatory School nearby, and the two began dating while still in high school. Even after attending separate colleges, they maintained their relationship.

Spieth played golf at the University of Texas, while Verret attended Texas Tech University’s Rawls College of Business. She graduated with a business degree and earned recognition for academic excellence, including multiple appearances on the President’s List for maintaining a 4.0 GPA.

The couple became engaged on Christmas Eve in 2017, then married in Dallas on November 24, 2018.

Several golf figures attended the wedding, including Rickie Fowler and Zach Johnson.

Annie Verret Helps Lead the Jordan Spieth Family Foundation

Before becoming heavily involved in the Jordan Spieth Family Foundation, Verret worked in nonprofit and event management roles.

According to her LinkedIn profile, she previously served as director of development for The Birthday Party Project in Dallas. The nonprofit focuses on organizing birthday celebrations for children experiencing homelessness.

She also worked with First Tee Greater Dallas, which uses golf to teach life lessons and leadership skills to young athletes.

Verret now plays a major role within the Jordan Spieth Family Foundation, which supports four primary causes: children with special needs, junior golf, military families, and pediatric cancer research.

The foundation was inspired in part by Spieth’s younger sister Ellie, who was born with a neurological disorder.

The organization has partnered with groups including Boot Campaign and Operation Shower to support military families and veterans.

Faith also remains an important part of Verret and Spieth’s relationship. Both have spoken about staying grounded through family values despite the pressures of professional sports.
