OAKLAND — A 25-year-old San Leandro man was shot Monday night in East Oakland, authorities said.
He was in stable condition at a hospital where he was being treated for a leg wound, authorities said Tuesday morning.
The shooting happened about 10:11 p.m. Monday at the intersection of 26th Avenue and East 25th Street, a mostly residential area.

Officers responding to a gunshot detection system alert found shell casings and a blood trail but no victim. A house in the area was a stray bullet but no one inside was hurt.
Police said they later determined that the wounded man had somehow made it on his own to his San Leandro home before being taken by ambulance to a hospital.
A motive for the shooting is under investigation. Police have not said why the man was in Oakland. No suspect information has been released.
