San Francisco homicide: Shooting at Hallidie Plaza

A person was killed in a shooting Thursday night at San Francisco’s Hallidie Plaza, police said.

Bay Area homicides 2024: Map and details

Around 9:30 p.m., officers were alerted to a shooting at the plaza, at Powell and Market streets. They found a victim, who died at the scene.

No arrest has been announced.

There was no disruption of BART service, but the Hallidie Plaza entrance to the Powell Street station was closed during the investigation.
