San Francisco homicide: Man fatally stabbed in Tenderloin district

A man was fatally stabbed Tuesday night in San Francisco’s Tenderloin district, the police said.

The attack, around 8:30 p.m., was initially reported as a possible shooting. Officers arrived at the 100 block of Hyde Street and found a man lying on the ground with multiple stab wounds.

Despite life-saving efforts by officers and paramedics, the man died at the scene.

No information on a suspect has been released.
