OAKLAND — A 23-year-old Oakley man has been identified as the victim of a December fatal shooting.
George Ndikum Ngwanyia Jr. was shot and killed at around 11:50 p.m. Dec. 12, on the 2700 block of E.C. Reems Court in East Oakland, police said. He died before emergency responders could get him to a hospital. Ngwanyia’s obituary identifies him as an Oakley resident.
Police haven’t announced any arrests, nor said if they’ve pinpointed the suspected motive. The shooter was gone by the time police got there, authorities said.
