One held after man seriously wounded during Loop stabbing

Charges were pending against a 36-year-old man who allegedly stabbed a 25-year-old man, seriously hurting him during an argument Thursday night in the Loop.

The 25-year-old man was standing outside in the first block of North State Street around 9:15 p.m. when a group approached him and an argument erupted, Chicago police said.

Another man, 36, then stabbed him in the back and he was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious condition, police said.


The alleged attacker was arrested and charges were pending.
