Miami Heat’s Odds to Land Giannis Antetokounmpo in Massive Trade

Could the Miami Heat be Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo’s next team?

After NBA insider Shams Charania revealed that the Bucks are listening to trade offers for their superstar, rumors of the Greek Freak’s next team are starting to arise. Miami is in the mix to be Antetokounmpo’s next destination.

Based on odds from DraftKings, the Heat have the third-best odds to be Antetokounmpo’s next team at +600. They only trail the New York Knicks at +330, and the forward staying with the Bucks at -110.

Antetokounmpo hasn’t officially requested a trade from the Bucks yet, according to NBA insider Chris Haynes, but the Bucks are still listening to offers.

The Heat, having the third-best odds to land Antetokounmpo, isn’t based on pure speculation. Reports emerged that the Heat were hesitant to pursue a trade for Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant because the front office was saving assets for the Bucks star.

With the Bucks announcing that they are officially listening to offers for their star, it appears the Heat might have made the right decision holding onto their assets.

Charania also revealed the Bucks aren’t in a rush to trade Antetokounmpo. If the right offer isn’t made for the two-time MVP, the team could hold onto him.

GettyMiami Heat guard Tyler Herro would likely be on the move in a trade for Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The price for a star like Giannis Antetokounmpo is going to be steep, as he’s considered to be one of the best players in the NBA.

At 31 years old, the Bucks star likely has multiple good years ahead of him before we see a decline. So what does that mean for the Miami Heat?

The Heat doesn’t have a surplus of draft capital to offer, but they have a quality staple of young players who are either already producing at a high level or are considered to have potential.

Heat guard Tyler Herro is from Milwaukee and would likely be moved in a trade for Antetokounmpo. Herro has been riddled with injuries this season, but is a productive scorer when he suits up.

Heat center Kel’el Ware is arguably the Heat’s most enticing young player. The second-year player from Indiana has shown flashes in his sophomore season.

He was recently selected to play in the NBA Rising Stars game, where Tracy McGrady selected him with his second pick.

Kasparas Jakucionis, the Heat’s first-round selection in the 2025 NBA draft, could also be on the move. While he hasn’t played much this season, he’s shown an ability to score on offense, shooting 43.8% from three.

Regardless of who is in the Heat’s trade package for Antetokounmpo, one thing is for certain: A trade won’t come easily.
