Man, 80, and his dog killed by hit-and-run driver in Sherman Oaks

An 80-year-old pedestrian and his dog were killed after they were struck by a Maserati in a hit-and-run in Sherman Oaks, with the driver on the loose.

Los Angeles police officers were called at 11:35 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, to Woodman Avenue and Moorpark Street after the driver of the Maserati struck the pedestrian and his dog.


Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics took the man to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. The dog was pronounced dead at the scene.
