A rockslide closes part of Santa Susana Road in Chatsworth

A stretch of Santa Susana Pass Road remains closed on Monday in Chatsworth after a large rockslide near the site of a previous wildfire.

The slide was reported Sunday near Redmesa Road, south of the 118 Freeway, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The two-lane road was closed in both directions following the slide.

An update on when the road would be reopened was not immediately available.

According to broadcast reports, the slide was near an area that burned in November. Video from the location Monday morning showed children playing among the giant boulders.
