Yankees’ Aaron Judge Drops Blunt Take After Ending Losing Streak

The New York Yankees beat the Los Angeles Angels 11-10 on Monday night at Yankee Stadium. The offense produced one of its most complete performances of the season. The bullpen nearly gave it all back. The defense had its lapses. Nothing about the win was clean.

But after five straight losses that exposed cracks across the roster, the Yankees found a way to the right side of the scoreboard. New York scored 11 runs. The bats finally showed up. The rest of the game was chaos.

After the win, Aaron Judge was asked what snapping the streak meant. His answer was direct.

What Judge Said After the Game

Judge kept it simple after the win.

“It ends that losing streak, that’s about it,” Judge said.

The tone matched the night.

The Yankees did not play their best baseball on Monday. The bullpen made it harder than it needed to be. The defense gave away outs. But a win is a win, and after the week this team just had, the only thing that mattered was getting back in the column.

Judge has been through enough seasons to know that one game does not fix everything. It also does not need to. Sometimes stopping the bleeding is enough. The rest can come tomorrow.

Judge Makes History

It was a historic night for the Yankees captain.

The two-homer night gave Judge 47 career multi-homer games, one more than Mickey Mantle managed in pinstripes. Ruth sits alone ahead of him with 68 for the Yankees and 72 overall.

“That’s special,’’ Judge said of passing Mantle. “I’m glad it came in a win. Hopefully, we can keep going.”

Judge now has six home runs on the season.

Where Things Stand for the Yankees

The win moved New York to 9-7. The offense showed what it is capable of when the lineup is clicking. Grisham’s two home runs, including the game-tying shot, provided the kind of production the Yankees have been waiting for from the supporting cast.

It was a chaotic win. It was also exactly the kind of fight this team needed to show after a difficult stretch.

The five-game slide raised real questions, but Monday offered a reminder that the talent in this lineup can carry any game when it shows up.

Final Word for the Yankees

The losing streak is over. Judge kept it simple and moved on. That is the right approach.

Monday was not perfect. But it was a win that this team earned by refusing to let a messy game get away from them. Judge passed Mantle on the multi-homer list. The bats produced. There were plenty of positives to take from the night.
