A woman was shot to death in Rogers Park early Thursday on the North Side.
The woman, 18, was walking with a group of friends in the 1000 block of West Pratt Boulevard around 1:30 a.m. when a gunman approached them on foot and opened fire in their direction, according to police.
The woman was shot in the head and was dead on the scene, police said.
There were no other injuries reported.
Area 3 detectives were investigating.
