White Sox’ game vs. Angels delayed because of incoming storm

The White Sox announced that the start of the game Monday night at Rate Field against the Angels will be delayed because of an incoming storm. First pitch was scheduled for 6:40 p.m.

The team said forecasts estimate that the rain will clear after 8 p.m.

After heavy rains, the grounds crew removed the tarp around 2 p.m., and both teams went through batting and fielding practice. The Sox also allowed the Dog Day parade around the warning track.

More to come.
