On Tuesday, the American Music Awards announced their nominations for the upcoming ceremony, and Swift led the tally of honors, including a nomination for Artist of the Year. The artist with the most nominations included Swift at eight, followed by Morgan Wallen, Olivia Dean, Sabrina Carpenter and Sombr all with seven and Alex Warren and Lady Gaga with six.
Taylor Swift Already Has a Collection of 40 American Music Awards
Swift is already the winningest artist in the history of the American Music Awards, according to the organization, with 40 awards. Now, she’s up for Artist of the Year, Album of the Year for “The Life of a Showgirl,” Song of the Year for “The Fate of Ophelia,” Best Music Video for “The Fate of Ophelia,” Song of the Summer with “Elizabeth Taylor, Best Female Pop Artist, Best Pop Song for “The Fate of Ophelia” and Best Pop Album for “The Life of a Showgirl.”
CBS and Dick Clark Productions announced the news. Queen Latifah is slated to host the awards event live from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25. The show airs on CBS and Paramount+.
The American Music Awards are the “world’s largest fan-voted award show honoring today’s most influential artists and their passionate fanbases.” The winners are determined fully by fan voting. “Nominees are determined by fan engagement across streaming, album and song sales, radio airplay and tour grosses,” the outfit states.

Former tight end Rob Gronkowski spoke with Page Six about Swift and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s wedding and stayed pretty tight-lipped on whether he plans to attend. “Oh, my gosh, my lips are sealed,” Gronkowski told Page Six in an interview out on Tuesday, April 14. “I may or may not be invited to the wedding.”
“He may want to invite me because I bring the juice,” Gronkowski added, “to the dance floor.”
One theory about the wedding has been debunked. So far, the two have kept the date and location of their wedding secret. For months, though, there were rumors that the two were going to wed on June 13 at Ocean House resort in Watch Hill, R.I., but a wedding planner for that date and venue says it’s not the case.
“I am the wedding planner for June 13th at the ocean house in Rhode island,” Tara Guerard, an event coordinator based in South Carolina and New York, commented on an April 5 social media post about Swift and Kelce’s supported Rhode Island venue. “Sorry to let you all know, Taylor is not my bride this weekend! Boo!”
Frankly, we hope these two are able to get married in privacy, so if the press doesn’t find out their exact wedding venue and date ahead of time, that’s a good thing.
