RTD operator shortage forces cancelations amid heavy winter storm

A bevy of RTD bus and light rail lines were canceled Thursday due to a shortage of operators.

The D, E, H, L, R and W light rail lines will all be impacted by the shortage, according to RTD’s service alert webpage.

Some bus routes — including the 15, 15L, 104L, 204, 225 and other lines — will also see cancelations Thursday due to the operator shortage.

A gnarly winter storm has impacted travel across Colorado on Thursday, with some areas expecting more than two feet of snow.

Schools and government offices have been closed, and more than 800 flights canceled out of Denver International Airport.
