There’s been a lot of talk regarding the Baltimore Ravens’ needs in the NFL Draft. Those needs include wide receiver, offensive line, and defensive line.
The Ravens have had their eyes on Arizona State Wide Receiver Jordyn Tyson. Tyson is one of the most talked about prospects in the NFL draft.
Though the Baltimore Ravens have their eye on the prospect, the New York Giants are saying ‘not so fast’.
“(New York Giants) GM Joe Schoen flew to Arizona to attend Jordan Tyson’s workout yesterday. Schoen also had dinner with Tyson the night before, sources told me and @RapSheet.” Mike Garafolo wrote on his official X account. “With NYG at 10 after the Dexter Lawrence, Tyson’s odds of being a top 10 pick have now increased significantly.”
Ravens Rival May Have Gifted the Giants Jordyn Tyson
The New York Giants traded defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence to the Cincinnati Bengals for their number 10 pick. Thanks to Cincy, the New York Giants now have the number 5 and number 10 pick in the NFL draft.
This twisted turn of events may bite the Ravens in the behind. Considering the Ravens have the 14th overall pick, the Cincinnati Bengals may have opened a door for the New York Giants unknowingly. There is no doubt that the Ravens need another wide receiver and adding Jordyn Tyson would vastly improve their wide receiver room.
“Leading up to the draft, Ravens fans have understandably become enthralled with the possibility of adding Tyson with the 14th pick.” Eamon Cassels said in an Ebony Bird article. “Sure, his injury history adds some risk, but there’s no denying that adding a dynamic receiver with impressive size (6-foot-2) next to Zay Flowers would be ideal. Now, it looks like the Giants could ruin the Ravens’ chances to draft Tyson.”
For Ravens fans, this would be a nightmare considering who is the new head coach for the New York Giants. The Baltimore Ravens fired John Harbaugh in January after a failed 2025 season. Since joining New York, Harbaugh has had 5 players follow him.
Former Baltimore Ravens personnel following Harbaugh includes:
- Patrick Ricard, Fullback
- Isaiah Likely, Tight End
- Daniel Faalele, Offensive Lineman
- Jordan Stout, All-Pro Punter
- Ar’Darius Washington, Cornerback
- Chris Horton, Special Team Coordinator
Baltimore Ravens Need Jordyn Tyson at 14th Pick
There’s no doubt that the Baltimore Ravens need Jordyn Tyson more than the New York Giants do. Zay Flowers needs a guy to be consistent alongside him.
Tyson stands at 6’2, 203 Ibs. The Arizona State standout has recorded 158 receptions, 2,282 yards, 22 touchdowns over three seasons.
“Tyson aligned 31.1% of his college snaps at slot, and he averaged an impressive 2.71 yards per route run. Jordyn Tyson had a 2.37 YPRR in 2025 and a 3.04 YPRR in 2024.” Nick Falato wrote in a Sports Illustrated article. “He dropped just one pass in 2025 after dropping seven in 2024 and he secured 52.4% of his contested catches through his college career. Tyson was a two-time First-Team All-Big 12 selection (2024 & 2025).”
“Tyson has the skill set to develop into a team’s No. 1 option despite lacking elite top-end speed and length. The primary concern will be his medical evaluations, which reports suggested ‘checked out’ on April 17th.”
