Raiders Linked to Signing of Projected $48 Million Free Agent WR

It has already been a big offseason for the Las Vegas Raiders with the hiring of Klint Kubiak as head coach. Now that the team is going to have a head coach with an offensive background, he’s going to want some more weapons to work with.

The team’s wide receiver corps is very questionable. Tre Tucker, Jack Bech and Dont’e Thornton are all young and talented, but none of them were able to become dependable targets in 2025.

The Raiders are likely going to be starting a rookie quarterback in 2026, and they need to set him up for success. Dallas Cowboys wide receiver George Pickens is the best player at the position who isn’t under contract, but he’s expected to get franchise tagged.

One player to watch is Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler noted that the Raiders could be in on Doubs this offseason.

“The Packers can try to re-sign free agent receiver Romeo Doubs and/or extend tight end Tucker Kraft, a 2027 free agent,” Fowler wrote. “The door isn’t closed on Doubs in Green Bay. I’m expecting both sides to at least have some dialogue and see if a return makes sense. The Raiders and Titans will have my attention for free agent receivers. Both desperately need a difference-maker on the outside.”

Doubs Projected to Get $48 Million Contract

Doubs has never had over 1,000 receiving yards in a season, but he’s a solid young wide receiver. He had 55 catches for 724 yards this season, which would’ve led the Raiders.

Perhaps if he’s able to be a true No. 1 wide receiver option for a team, it would unlock his game even further. Plus, he shouldn’t cost much.

According to Spotrac, Doubs’ market value is at four years, $48 million. That’s not a steep price to pay for a young wide receiver who still has upside.

Maxx Crosby to Garner Trade Interest

The biggest question that now faces the Raiders is defensive end Maxx Crosby’s future. There have been plenty of rumors that he’s going to get traded this offseason.

He came out and suggested that he’s still loyal to the Raiders, but that doesn’t mean a trade can’t happen. Fowler gave the latest insight into a possible trade.

“What has been made clear to me: Crosby wants to be a part of a winner,” Fowler wrote. “That’s the priority. Whether and how that’s conveyed is still unclear. He has been fiercely loyal to Las Vegas. That loyalty will be tested more than ever in the coming weeks. The reality is the Raiders are still far away from significant winning, and the trade interest in Crosby is incredibly robust. In fact, I believe more than a dozen teams, possibly up to 20, will at least inquire with levels of serious intent. And there are some natural would-be contenders, including the Bills, Lions, 49ers, Cowboys and Ravens. One team that typically doesn’t jump in these high-stakes waters but would be perfect to try: the Buccaneers. This is the type of move that would put Tampa Bay over the top.”
