The Edmonton Oilers have announced that star forward Leon Draisaitl is expected to be out for the remainder of the 2025-26 regular season due to a lower-body injury.
Draisaitl left the Oilers’ contest against the Nashville Predators early after receiving a hit from forward Ozzy Wiesblatt.
With Edmonton currently fighting for a playoff spot, it is undoubtedly bad news that Draisaitl is not expected to play for the remainder of the regular season.
In 65 games this season with Edmonton, Draisaitl has 35 goals, 62 assists, 97 points, and a plus-13 rating. This is after the star forward had 52 goals and 106 points in 71 games last season.
