On Saturday night, the New York Yankees will continue their series with the Brewers in Milwaukee.

The Yankees are coming off a 6-0 loss on Friday.

Ryan McMahon finished with one strikeout in two at-bats.

For Saturday’s game, the Yankees have announced their starting lineup.

McMahon will not be in the starting lineup, but should be available to be used off the bench.

The 2024 MLB All-Star had gotten off to a slow start to the season.

He is batting .219 with 21 hits, three home runs, 12 RBI’s, 11 runs and one stolen base in 37 games.

Aaron Lichstrahl of Yankees Farm Report wrote (on May 8): “Since hitting his first home run vs KC on 4/17, Ryan McMahon has been playing pretty good baseball. Would like to see him start walking again, but the power has been in a good spot for someone hitting 8-9 in the lineup.”

McMahon’s MLB Background

McMahon had spent the first eight and a half seasons of his career playing for the Colorado Rockies.

He was traded to New York during the middle of last season.

The 31-year-old has hit 20+ home runs in six different seasons.

The Yankees wrote via X (on July 25, 2025): “The New York Yankees today announced that they have acquired infielder Ryan McMahon from the Colorado Rockies in exchange for minor league pitchers Josh Grosz and Griffin Herring.”

McMahon stepping up his play would be a huge boost for the Yankees this season.

He is still under contract for one more year (after this season).

The Yankees enter Saturday with a 26-13 record in 39 games, which has them as the top team in the American League East.

They have gone 12-7 in the 19 games they have played on the road.
