For Monday’s game, the Yankees have announced that Max Schuemann will be starting at shortstop.
The 28-year-old is batting .200 with one hit, one RBI and one run in five games this season.

Schuemann was picked in the 20th round of the 2018 MLB Draft.
He spent the first two seasons of his career with the Athletics.
Over 239 career games, Schuemann is batting .212 with 124 hits, nine home runs, 48 RBI’s, 76 runs and 21 stolen bases.
In February, the Yankees traded for him (via the Athletics).
