Tyler Reddick turned a pole-winning lap into another statement victory in the NASCAR Cup Series.
The 23XI Racing driver overcame early electrical issues to win the Goodyear 400 at Darlington Raceway, securing his fourth victory in the first six races of the 2026 season. The result extended his points lead and reinforced his early control of the championship fight.
Reddick showed speed from the start, but Darlington Raceway rarely makes anything easy. Early problems threatened to derail the No. 45 team before the race settled into longer runs where the car came back to life.

Jordan pointed to both driver discipline and team communication as key factors in the outcome.
“I think Billy did a good job of keeping him calm. We knew we had a fast car. On a 30-lap run, we were really good. In the short run, we were really good. We just had to get the car right. He kept his composure and did an unbelievable job.”
Darlington Raceway Strategy and Late-Race Pressure
Once Reddick returned to the front, the race shifted to track position. At Darlington Raceway, clean air becomes critical, especially in the closing laps.
Jordan admitted those final laps were tense as the team tried to avoid any late-race disruption.
“I just wanted everything to stay clean because once he got back out there, I felt like his competitors were going to carry him all the way to the end. Those were the longest 18 to 20 laps I can imagine.”
The concern centered on one scenario.
“I didn’t want to see a caution because that would have changed everything.”
A late caution would have reset the field and erased Reddick’s advantage. Instead, the race stayed green, allowing the No. 45 car to control the finish.

Reddick closed the race without mistakes, managing the gap and executing clean laps to secure the win. It marked his fourth victory of the season and strengthened his position atop the NASCAR Cup Series standings.
Jordan kept the final assessment simple.
“He did the job. He earned it all week, and I’m really proud of the team.”
The performance also showed the strength of 23XI Racing as a whole. Teammate Bubba Wallace started alongside Reddick on the front row, signaling speed across both entries.
Through six races, Reddick has established himself as a clear championship contender. He has won on multiple track types, handled in-race adversity, and delivered consistent finishes.
As the season moves forward, the focus shifts to whether anyone can match that level of execution.
For now, the No. 45 team remains in control.
