Los Angeles Lakers Star LeBron James Made NBA History In Mavs Game

On Sunday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers played the Dallas Mavericks in Texas.

Despite a good fight, the Lakers lost by a score of 134-128.

LeBron James went off for 30 points, nine rebounds, 15 assists and one steal while shooting 12/22 from the field in 39 minutes of playing time.

James also made NBA history with his performance.

Ryan Ward of Lakers OnSI wrote: “Per Lakers: LeBron James finished with 30 points, nine rebounds, 15 assists and one steal at Dallas.

His 30-point, 15-assist performance marked the seventh of his career (tied for 11th all-time) and made him the oldest player in NBA history to reach those marks, passing his own record (Nov. 2019).”

At 41, James is having a remarkable season where he is still among the best players in the league.

He came into the night with averages of 20.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, 6.9 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 51.1% from the field and 31.3% from three-point range in 56 games.

The four-time NBA Champion is in his eighth season playing for the Lakers (after stints with the Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers).

The Lakers have had an incredible season that had a lot of momentum after the All-Star break.

They are the third seed in the Western Conference with a 50-28 record in 78 games.

That said, the Lakers have been hit with injuries to players such as Luka Doncic, Austin Reaves and Marcus Smart.

Following the Mavs, they will play their next game on Tuesday night (at home) against the OKC Thunder.

Mavs After Lakers Loss

With their victory over the Lakers, the Mavs improved to 25-53 in 78 games, which has them as the 12th seed in the Western Conference.

They have won two out of their last ten games (and are 15-25 at home).

After the Lakers, the Mavs will play their next game on Tuesday when they head on the road to visit Darius Garland and the LA Clippers in Los Angeles.
