Same Same But Different festival unveils Lake Perris island experience

Organizers of the Same Same But Different Festival have announced the return of Nakey Island, a private, boat-access-only experience that will once again operate as a festival within the festival at Lake Perris this fall.

The add-on will be available during Same Same But Different’s Sept. 25-27 weekend and is located across the water from the main festival grounds. Attendees can access the island via ferry service throughout the weekend with the purchase of a Nakey Island Passport, while Limitless Pass holders receive access as part of their festival package.

Unlike the main festival stages, Nakey Island will feature its own dedicated lineup, with artists performing island-only sets that will not be repeated elsewhere during the festival. Organizers say the music programming will focus on house, funk and groove-driven sounds curated by Almost Nakey.

The island lineup includes AB3D, Amadeezy, AndreasOne, Bad Tongue, Boo, Cocoa Crescendo, Curly Brown, Deezy, Dükank, FMLY BZNS Takeover, Honey Bun, Jungle Haus, Kale, Kyro and One Lovell, with additional artists still to be announced.

Beyond the music, Nakey Island will host a variety of wellness and recreational activities, including sound healing sessions, breathwork, guided movement classes, tea gatherings and more. Festivalgoers will also have access to secluded beaches, hiking trails, cabanas and scenic viewpoints throughout the island.

The announcement comes as Same Same But Different continues to roll out programming for its 2026 edition. The Lake Perris festival has already revealed a lineup featuring artists including LSDREAM, Gramatik, Andy Frasco & The U.N., Kasablanca, Ship Wrek, Twin Diplomacy, Diggin Dirt, Steller and more across multiple stages throughout the weekend.

Since launching in 2018, Same Same But Different has built a reputation for blending music, art, wellness and community-focused experiences. Organizers say Nakey Island continues that mission by offering attendees a separate environment centered on exploration, connection and discovery beyond the festival’s main grounds.

The 2026 edition of Same Same But Different is scheduled to take place Sept. 25-27 at Lake Perris State Recreation Area. Tickets, festival passes and Nakey Island Passports are available now at ssbdfest.com.
