The New York Knicks have won five games in a row, with the latest victory coming against the Brooklyn Nets.
After the game, the Knicksâ head coach, Mike Brown, admitted that despite the win, his team was outplayed.
On the other side, the Brooklyn Netsâ veteran Josh Minott sent a direct shot at New Yorkâs star center, Karl-Anthony Towns. Coming out of that game in Brooklyn, the Knicks have some bulletin board material.

The 23-year-old forward didnât hold back on Towns. He made his comment and made it clear that he hopes it lands with KAT, as the Knicks have a long journey ahead still.
âI played with KAT for 2.5 years. I know him like this, and he donât like physicality,â Minott said.
âI love KAT, but he donât like physicality. Thatâs my boy, too. I hope this angers him. We were really connected on bringing that physicality to him. He snapped in the second half. Heâs a really talented player, but weâre going to do everything in our power to stop him for sure.â
Towns had a family emergency on Friday, which nearly gave him the night off. He ended up playing, checking in for 29 minutes. The veteran star went 7-16 from the field and 11-13 from the charity stripe to score 26 points. He logged a double-double with 15 rebounds.
On the other side, Minott had an impressive game off the bench. In 26 minutes, he produced 22 points on 8-13 shooting from the field. He also had five rebounds, two assists, one steal, and two blocks.
The History Of Karl-Anthony Towns and Josh Minott
Photo by David Berding/Getty ImagesJosh Minott started his career with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Through his first couple of seasons with the Timberwolves, he was playing alongside the veteran All-Star, Karl-Anthony Towns, who joined the New York Knicks via trade a few seasons back.
Minott and Towns crossed paths on the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Back in 2022, Minott was drafted by the Charlotte Hornets as a 45th overall pick and traded to the Wolves. He landed a standard contract almost right away.
For three seasons, Minott played for the Timberwolves. He appeared in 93 games, coming off the bench for each matchup. At the time, Karl-Anthony Towns was the face of the franchise until he was moved to the Knicks.
Minott finished his stint in Minnesota after the 2024-2025 NBA season. Last July, he hit the free agency market and signed a two-year contract with the Boston Celtics.
After appearing in 33 games with the Celtics, Minott was traded to the Nets ahead of the 2026 NBA trade deadline. Fridayâs game with the Nets was his 10th of the season. He hasnât been in Brooklyn for a long time, but heâs embracing the New York rivalry already.
