The 2026 NCAA Tournament continues with the Sweet 16 on Friday, as teams in the East and Midwest regions take the floor in Washington, D.C., and Chicago.
Four games are set for Friday night, with matchups airing across CBS, TBS, and truTV. Fans can also stream every game through multiple platforms.

Friday’s Sweet 16 slate includes four games spread across two regions. Tipoff begins at 7:10 p.m. ET and runs through the late-night window.

Duke vs. St. John’s Sweet 16 Matchup Features Two Hot Teams
Top-seeded Duke enters the matchup on a 13-game winning streak after defeating TCU 81-58 in the second round. The Blue Devils finished the season 34-2 and claimed both the ACC regular-season and tournament titles.
Fifth-seeded St. John’s is also surging, winning eight straight games. The Red Storm advanced with a 67-65 win over Kansas and finished 30-6 overall, including an 18-2 record in Big East play.
Both teams arrive with momentum, making this one of the most anticipated games of the night. Duke lists Caleb Foster and Patrick Ngongba as questionable.
Michigan vs. Alabama Matchup Highlights Midwest Region
Michigan, the No. 1 seed in the Midwest, comes into Friday’s game after a 95-72 win over Saint Louis. The Wolverines finished the regular season 33-3 and won the Big Ten title with a 19-1 record.
Alabama advanced with a 90-65 victory over Texas Tech. The Crimson Tide finished 25-9 and tied for second in the SEC.
Injury updates could play a role in this matchup. Alabama guard Aden Holloway is out due to suspension, while Michigan’s L.J. Cason is out with a knee injury.
UConn vs. Michigan State Brings Balanced Teams
The East Region also features a matchup between No. 2 Connecticut and No. 3 Michigan State.
UConn enters with a 31-5 record after defeating UCLA 73-57. The Huskies finished second in the Big East and have won two straight games in the tournament.
Michigan State, also on a two-game winning streak, advanced with a 77-69 win over Louisville. The Spartans finished 27-7 and tied for second in the Big Ten.
Both teams have shown consistency on both ends of the floor, setting up a competitive late-night matchup.
Iowa State vs. Tennessee Sweet 16 Matchup Caps Friday Night
The final game of the night features No. 2 Iowa State against No. 6 Tennessee in the Midwest Region.
Iowa State enters with a 29-7 record after defeating Kentucky 82-63. The Cyclones finished tied for third in the Big 12.
Tennessee advanced with a 79-72 win over Virginia and holds a 24-11 record. The Volunteers tied for fourth in the SEC.
Iowa State’s Joshua Jefferson, the team’s second-leading scorer and top rebounder, is listed as questionable with an ankle injury.
Final Four and Championship Game Details
The winners of Friday’s games will move on to the Elite Eight, with a chance to advance to the Final Four.
The Final Four is scheduled for Saturday, April 4, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The NCAA championship game will take place on Monday, April 6, at the same venue.
