Eastbound Interstate 76 is reopened in Commerce City after the roadway was closed for a shooting investigation, according to the Commerce City Police Department.

Further details about the shooting were not immediately available, but there is no danger to the public, said spokesperson Joanna Small.

The interstate was closed between U.S. 85 and Colo. 44/104th Avenue, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation. The left lane reopened at 7:15 p.m.
