On Saturday night, the Detroit Tigers will continue their series with the Cincinnati Reds in Ohio.

They are coming off a 9-8 loss on Friday.

Gleyber Torres finished with three walks and one run.

For Saturday’s game, the Tigers have announced their starting lineup.

Underdog MLB wrote: “Tigers 4/25 K. McGonigle SS M. Vierling CF C. Keith 3B R. Greene LF D. Dingler C K. Carpenter DH S. Torkelson 1B W. Pérez RF J. Báez 2B J. Flaherty SP”

Torres will not be in the lineup on Saturday against the Reds.

He is currently batting .232 with one home run, seven RBI’s and 15 runs in his first 26 games of the season.

Jake Kirby of FPTrack.com wrote: “Detroit Tigers second baseman Gleyber Torres will not be in the starting lineup for the game against the Cincinnati Reds on April 25, 2026. Gleyber Torres is resting on Saturday but remains healthy and available for future fantasy lineups.”

Torres’ Tigers Stint

Torres had spent the first seven years of his career playing for the New York Yankees.

He is in his second season playing for the Tigers.

Last year, Torres made the MLB All-Star Game, batting .256 with 16 home runs, 74 RBI’s, 79 runs and four stolen bases in 145 games.

Bob Nightengale of USA Today wrote (on November 18, 2025): “Gleyber Torres accepts the $22.05 million qualifying offer and is returning to the Detroit Tigers.”

At 29, Torres has made three All-Star Games in his first eight MLB seasons.
