They are coming off a 142-126 win over the Grizzlies (in Memphis).
Evan Mobley led the way with 24 points, six rebounds and four assists while shooting 9/11 from the field and 1/2 from three-point range in 26 minutes of playing time.
James Harden did not play in the game.

For Wednesday’s game, Harden is not on the injury report.
The 2018 MVP will be back in the starting lineup against the Hawks.

Since getting traded to the Cavs (via the LA Clippers), Harden has been averaging 20.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 7.9 assists per contest while shooting 48.1% from the field 44.0% from three-point range in 24 games.

Cavs Ahead Of Hawks Showdown
The Cavs are the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 50-29 record in 79 games.
They have won three in a row (and eight out of ten).
At home, the Cavs have gone 25-14 in 39 games.

Adding Harden to a loaded roster that also features Donovan Mitchell, Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley will give them a real chance to return to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2018 (when LeBron James was still with the franchise).
Harden is one of the best 50 players of all time, but he has been unable to get back to the Finals sine the 2012 season (with the Thunder).

Hawks Before Cavs
The Hawks last made the NBA playoffs in 2023.
However, they are having a very strong year as the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 45-34 record.
Over their last ten games, the Hawks have gone 7-3 (and they are 22-17 on the road).
