Chargers Connected to 25-Touchdown All-American Weapon Ahead of Draft

The Los Angeles Chargers look to give Justin Herbert and new offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel some help ahead of the 2026 NFL season.

Keenan Allen was on a one-year deal for the 2025 season and remains a free agent, leaving a gap in the team’s receiving core. But the Bolts have been meeting with receiving prospects ahead of the draft, including meeting Georgia tight end Oscar Delp and Louisville wide receiver Chris Bell.

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Bolts have conducted a visit with one of the better wide receivers of this year’s draft class: Texas A&M’s KC Concepcion.

The wide receiver, who played his first two collegiate seasons with North Carolina State, logged 919 receiving yards and 9 touchdown catches in the 2025 season. In total, Concepcion has recorded 2,218 receiving yards and 25 touchdowns.

The soon-to-be former Aggie has also been involved in the run game in college, rushing for 431 yards and 3 touchdowns, which can lead him to be a versatile piece for the Bolts’ offense in his rookie season if taken by the team.

LA has the 22nd overall pick in this year’s draft class and could fall directly into the Chargers’ lap.

KC Concepcion Message to NFL GM’s

It appears KC Concepcion has a lot of confidence ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft, putting general managers, scouting departments and coaching staffs on notice ahead of the draft.

The Texas A&M wide receiver reportedly sent teams around the league a message, calling himself the best receiver in this year’s draft class.

“I’m the best receiver in this draft. Period. I run crisp routes. I catch everything thrown anywhere near me. I work my tail off every practice, every drill … And I will outwork ANYBODY you put in front of me,” Concepcion wrote.

Confidence can do wonders for a player and being put in the right situation could help KC Concepcion in his development in the NFL. Pairing him with offensive mastermind Mike McDaniel could be the perfect step for the player’s rookie season.

The NFL draft is approaching quickly, mock drafts are being released left and right, with one mock predicting the Los Angeles Chargers will select KC Concepcion with the 22nd overall pick.

CBS Sports’ Zachary Pereles predicts the Bolts will take the wide receiver in his latest mock draft.

“I love the fit of KC Concepcion in Los Angeles. He has earned comparisons to Jaylen Waddle, and guess who just thrived in Mike McDaniel’s offense? Jaylen Waddle [in Miami]. Plugging Concepcion into the slot would be a great help for Justin Herbert,” Pereles wrote.

If the Bolts were to take Concepcion, he would plug right into the slot role Keenan Allen played in the 2025 season.

Allen logged 777 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns in what is his possible last season as a member of the Bolts organization. KC Concepcion could produce similar numbers in his first season with the team.
