Cameron and Cayden Boozer’s parents, CeCe and Carlos Boozer, have been cheering on Duke throughout March Madness. The Duke twin brothers have been one of the stories of the NCAA Tournament, but Cameron and Cayden’s mom CeCe’s journey began long before her sons were household names.
The Boozer family is full of athletes. Cameron and Cayden’s dad Carlos is a former NBA player, but he is not the only athlete in the family.
Cameron and Cayden’s mom CeCe is a former college volleyball player. CeCe now focuses her attention on the business world and discussed the sacrifices she made while raising Cameron, Cayden and older brother Carmani Boozer.
“I think it feels a little bit surreal because when you’re in the moment of making the sacrifice, you don’t think it’s a sacrifice,” CeCe explained during a May 13, 2025, interview on the “Grownwoman” podcast. “You just go with where your heart is. And I tell people that all the time when they ask, like, how do you do this or how do you do that? And I said, because it’s the only thing I know. I put my head down and I do the work and I see the goal and I meet the goal.
“And once I meet the goal, I make another goal. For me, it’s nice to see them at this moment, seeing the culmination of everything that’s happened and to be able to look back and say, I’m thankful and I’m grateful for you kind of putting your head down and making the way. So I think that as a parent, that’s all we can ask for.”

As Cayden and Cameron graduated from high school and headed to Duke, CeCe took to Instagram to praise her sons. CeCe labeled Camden and Cayden as “amazing young men.”
“Graduation Day!!!! I am so proud of your journey these past 4 years,” CeCe explained in a May 18, 2025, Instagram post. “You have both been amazing students while accomplishing your goals on the basketball court simultaneously.
“You have grown into amazing young men. Today closes a chapter on (high school) and opens the door for the next part of your journey in college. I pray that God guides your steps and you put him first in all you do.”

Cayden and Cameron have a special bond as twin brothers who decided to play together at Duke. Cameron and Cayden’s dad Carlos explained why the brothers chose to play together at Duke despite other options for each individual.
“If there was a situation that was better for Cayden than Cam, there was an option for them to go separate, right and have a chance to go to college in two different places, if it was better for one or the other,” Carlos noted in a March 26, interview on “The Rich Eisen Show.” “But they sat down and handled it like some some men and decided they wanted to choose to play together.”
