Speaking on behalf of Casino Guru, Honigman told Showbiz Cheat Sheet, “On one of the most important stages, RAYE’s not immune to some nerves. Her typical theatrical moves are part and parcel of her performance. Those big, sweeping moves are not where the nerves show.

“RAYE places her microphone cord over her arm to get it away from under her feet, but the cord escapes for a moment, breaking RAYE’s concentration for a split second as she seeks to retrieve it. This is not typical of the perfectionist performer, who normally executes every move with utter precision. This slip-up is a clear sign of tension and stress, RAYE is not as confident as always. [But] when the audience explodes into rapturous applause, RAYE shows her joy, throwing her arms in the air.”
