Bills Predicted to Trade With Steelers for Eight-Time Pro Bowler to Boost Defense

Super Bowl week is finally here, which means it’s almost time for teams to start making moves to improve for the 2026 season.

One team that will need to strengthen its roster is the Bills. Buffalo made a coaching change this offseason, parting ways with Sean McDermott and hiring Joe Brady, the team’s offensive coordinator, as his replacement.

One of Brady’s significant moves so far has been hiring Jim Leonhard as his defensive coordinator. Now, Brandon Beane the president of football operations and general manager, will need to bring in players who align with Leonhard’s scheme. Jarrett Bailey from Behind The Steel Curtain may have a player in mind for Buffalo.

Steelers Predicted to Trade Jalen Ramsey to the Bills

On Sunday, Bailey created a Steelers mock draft, proposing that Pittsburgh trade cornerback Jalen Ramsey to the Bills in exchange for a fourth-round pick in 2027.

“Ramsey is 32, and the Steelers need to get younger defensively. The Bills are forever in win-now mode as long as Josh Allen is playing at a high level,” Bailey wrote. “Buffalo gets secondary help while the Steelers get a high Day Three pick in the 2027 NFL Draft – a piece they could potentially use to move up for a quarterback.”

It would be interesting to see the Bills trade a 2027 fourth-round pick to bring in Ramsey.

Ramsey has played in the NFL since 2016 and concluded his first season with the Steelers. Pittsburgh made a trade with the Miami Dolphins this past offseason that sent Ramsey and tight end Jonnu Smith to the Steelers for safety Minkah Fitzpatrick and a pick swap.

Ramsey Could Bring Super Bowl Experience to Buffalo

Ramsey had a solid season, playing extensively at safety and earning his eighth Pro Bowl selection. If the Bills decide to trade for him, he could step in as either a cornerback or safety, which would address Buffalo’s needs at both positions.

The Bills should seriously consider adding more veteran presence to their secondary, and trading for Ramsey could be a game-changer. Not only would Ramsey bring valuable Super Bowl experience to Buffalo, but his skills on the field would also be a significant boost. He played for the Rams from 2019 to 2022 and played a key role in helping Los Angeles secure the Super Bowl in 2021.

Buffalo has been striving to reach the Super Bowl for the past six seasons. Adding a veteran player who has played a key role in a Super Bowl run could be a fantastic move for the locker room. It could help guide a group of players who have been working hard to climb the mountain but keep falling short.

The Bills have plenty of options to improve their secondary this season, and they should aim to trade for a veteran player while also looking to draft someone in the first two rounds of the NFL Draft.

Buffalo may have gone through a coaching change, but it still boasts one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL in Allen. As long as he’s on the field for the Bills, they will remain one of the top teams in the league.
