Following a big win for the New York Knicks, the veteran Jeremy Sochan had a bit of a verbal exchange with the Philadelphia 76ers rookie, VJ Edgecombe.
While the situation didn’t escalate to concerning levels, Sochan was held back shortly after the war of words.
On Thursday, the 17-year NBA veteran Lou Williams sent a clear message to Sochan for his involvement in the situation.

âDonât insert yourself in none of this, especially when youâre outside the lines,” Williams said on FanDuel TV’s Run It Back.
“If you havenât racked in any time on this floor and you havenât done anything, especially if you havenât done it at the level of this rookie that youâre talking to in VJ Edgecombe, then stay out the way. Donât get involved in this. Donât become a distraction and become somebody thatâs targeted, and youâre not even in a position to go out on the floor and do anything about it. Stay out of it. That looked crazy.â

After the game, the rookie star downplayed the situation with Sochan.
While Edgecombe was visibly frustrated in the moment, he simply chalked it up to being a heated moment following an emotional loss in the playoffs.
âI think thatâs what it is. Itâs going to be a dogfight,â Edgecombe said, via New York Post. âTheyâre a really good team, and itâs going to come down to the wire almost every game.â
