Tiger Woods was involved in another crash and has been charged with another count of driving under the influence after an incident in Florida on March 27, and the entire world is in reaction mode — including the entire golf universe and President of the United States Donald Trump himself.
Trump spoke on the topic Friday, the video of which quickly made the rounds on social media.
“I feel so badly. He’s got some difficulty,” Trump told reporters in Miami, per the New York Post. “There was an accident and that’s all I know. Very close friend of mine. He’s an amazing person, amazing man. But some difficulty.”
Woods is currently dating Vanessa Trump, the ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr.
Woods’ vehicle overturned while he was driving in Jupiter, Florida, near his home, according to Martin County Police who responded to the crash and made the subsequent arrest of Woods.
“Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek said during a Friday evening news conference that it did not appear that Woods was hurt,” WPTV5 reported. “Budensiek said Woods complied with a breathalyzer but refused a urine test. Woods faces misdemeanor charges and will be held in the Martin County Jail for at least eight hours.”
The charges include misdemeanor counts of DUI with property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test.

Fan reaction was strong on Friday night after news of Woods’ crash and arrest went public.
“If the DUI reports are true, being a legend doesn’t excuse reckless behavior — Tiger Woods should be held accountable like anyone else,” one person wrote on X.
“Really sad how Tiger Woods can never learn smh,” another site user chimed in.
“I have to ask; am I the only one who thinks Tiger Woods needs to give up his car keys?,” a third person wrote. “And with his $$$ he could be driven anywhere & everywhere he needs to go. JT too. People…use your head for something other than a hat rack.”

The Athletic reported that Woods’ breathalyzer test showed he had not been drinking. However, his arrest after officers at the scene said he displayed “signs of impairment,” coupled with the charges Woods’ faces imply the possibility that he may have been under the influence of drugs, which could point to pain medication for ongoing issues from previous injuries.
“Mr. Woods did exemplify signs of impairment,” Budensiek said, per The Athletic. “They did several tests on him. He did explain the injuries and surgeries he had, we did take that into account, but they did do some in-depth roadside tests and when it was determined he was taken under arrest and taken to the Martin County Jail.”
Radio New Zealand reported that police arrested Woods for DUI in 2009 and 2017. He was also involved in a serious crash south of Los Angeles in 2021, during which police said the car Woods was driving was likely. moving at a “relatively greater speed than normal.”
