Was Dak Prescott and Sarah Jane Ramos’ Relationship Always Doomed by Opposite Temperaments?

<a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/celebrity-athletes/?swcfpc=1″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Dak Prescott has just broken his silence about his called-off engagement to <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/dak-prescotts-girlfriend-sarah-jane-ramos.html/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Sarah Jane Ramos.

The Dallas Cowboys <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/sports/?swcfpc=1″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>quarterback and the mother of his two daughters were set to tie the knot in Italy last April, but just one month before their wedding, the two informed guests via email that they would not be walking down the aisle.

<a href=”https://www.tmz.com/2026/03/09/dak-prescott-sarah-jane-ramos-email-to-wedding-guests-cancellation/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>TMZ obtained a copy of the email that read, “It is with heavy hearts that we privately inform our attendees that we have made the very difficult decision to cancel our wedding. “We deeply apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and we welcome your prayers.”

After canceling their wedding, reports came out claiming the reason had to do with their prenuptial agreement that Ramos did not want to sign. Other reports put the blame on Prescott, alleging that he used incognito social media profiles to send inappropriate messages to multiple women and ex-flings.

During training camp with his team, Prescott spoke to the <a href=”https://x.com/calvinwatkins/status/2085500533411115376″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Dallas Morning News about some inaccuracies in the reporting of his and Ramos’ breakup.

“Yeah, I mean. I don’t necessarily think it was public to me,” Prescott said. “I believe what you take in, what you read, what you look up, you’re doing that to yourself. There were a lot of false narratives out there on both of our sides. Yeah, it was an unfortunate situation for obviously everybody. More importantly, the kids. And so for me, it’s just about making sure I’m there in every which way for them [children].”

But were athlete and wine specialist ever compatible? Not according to their Life Path numbers of 4 (Ramos) and 5 (Prescott).

According to <a href=”https://numerologist.com/numerology/life-path-4-and-5-compatibility” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Numerologist.com, “This is the pairing that numerology most consistently identifies as genuinely difficult. This is one of the harder pairings in numerology — the classical sources are unusually consistent on this point … What the 4 needs is a partner who takes the structure of life seriously — who respects the plan, who shows up predictably, who doesn’t casually demolish what they’ve worked to build. What unsettles them most is chaos: the unplanned, the sudden change, the partner who treats commitments as suggestions.

“What the 5 needs is freedom — not necessarily freedom from the relationship, but freedom within it. The ability to move, explore, change direction, say yes to the unexpected. What the 5 cannot tolerate is feeling caged, managed, or like their natural vitality is being administered into submission.”

Therefore, it becomes a “control-freedom loop. The more the 4 tries to contain the 5’s need for movement, the harder the 5 pulls away, which triggers more control from the 4. Neither person is acting from bad faith — both are expressing their deepest needs. Breaking the loop requires the 4 to loosen their grip before the 5 demonstrates the loyalty they’re looking for, which takes real trust. And it requires the 5 to show up reliably in specific ways before they feel completely free, which takes real intention … The relationship asks a great deal.”

Perhaps that was just too much for Prescott and Ramos.
