Then, a photo of an adorable fluffy dog disembarking from the singer’s private jet sent those reports into overdrive. Days after the couple’s wedding at Madison Square Garden, Kelce was spotted arriving at the airport in Palm Beach, Florida, with a Samoyed in tow. And that has sent searches for the dog breed soaring. </p>
<p id=”par-2_42″>Google search data compiled by the fresh dog food brand <a href=”https://www.years.com/blogs/guides/samoyed-owners-guide” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Years</a> found searches for “Taylor Swift dog” increased by 68% over the past month to 118,000 monthly searches, while searches for “Taylor Swift puppy” have risen by a whopping 83% over the same period.</p>
<p id=”par-3_34″>Moreover, searches for “Samoyed dog” have increased 7% to 75,000 monthly searches and “Samoyed puppies” are up 8% to 10,000 monthly searches. In addition, searches for “Samoyed puppies for sale” have climbed 25%. </p>

<p id=”par-4_36″>However, CEO of Years food brand Darren Beale cautioned anyone wanting to get a Samoyed just because Swift and Kelce have one, explaining that the breed’s striking appearance often hides the reality of what ownership involves.</p>
<p id=”par-5_52″>According to Beale, “Celebrity pets have always influenced which breeds people fall in love with, but social media only shows a tiny snapshot of what life with these dogs is actually like. Samoyeds are beautiful, affectionate and incredibly loyal, but they’re also one of the most demanding breeds people can choose. </p>
<p id=”par-6_73″>“They’re intelligent working dogs that need plenty of exercise, mental stimulation and companionship, so they’re not the sort of dog that’s happy being left alone while you’re at work all day. The biggest mistake people make is choosing the dog they love the look of, rather than the dog that genuinely suits their lifestyle. Before bringing any puppy home, it’s worth understanding what you’ll be committing to for the next decade or more.”</p>
<p id=”par-7_62″>He added, “They’re happiest when they’re part of whatever you’re doing. If you’re looking for an independent breed that’s content entertaining itself for hours, a Samoyed probably isn’t the best fit. People often focus on physical exercise, but mental stimulation is just as important. A bored Samoyed will usually find its own entertainment, and owners don’t always enjoy what that looks like.</p>
