<p id=”par-1_116″>There has been movement in the investigation into Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s death. Neo Langston, a friend of D4vd, has appeared before a Los Angeles judge after a surprise arrest out of state. The streamer was arrested in Montana on Thursday, January 22, after failing to <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/d4vd-scrubbed-from-video-game-as-indictment-allegedly-looms.html/”>appear in front of a grand jury.</a> The grand jury is looking into the death of the 14-year-old girl found dead inside a Tesla registered to R&B artist D4vd. It’s unclear exactly what the LAPD believes Langston knows about the teen and her death. Still, he appears to have been a close confidant of D4vd’s before the discovery. Based on the warrant, they believe he has something of note to share.</p>

<p id=”par-2_91″>According to <a href=”https://www.tmz.com/2026/01/24/neo-langston-arrested-at-mom-house-montana-d4vd-friend/”>TMZ</a>, the warrant was issued after Langston refused several requests to appear in front of the exploratory grand jury that is reviewing evidence related to <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/d4vd-is-the-most-searched-musician-on-google-insiders-think-an-arrest-may-be-imminent.html/”>Rivas Hernandez’s death</a>. While Langston appears to have lived in Los Angeles at one point, he was actually arrested at his mother’s ranch in Montana. Photos taken at the Helena home show the 23-year-old being led away by several police officers. In the photos, he’s wearing a beanie, a sweatsuit, and sweatpants. It is unclear how long he had been staying with his mother.</p>

<p id=”par-3_61″>Langston was booked into the LAPD jail on January 23 and released on a $60,000 bond the following day. According to official jail records, the streamer was released from custody at 9:09am. He does not have another court date set at this time. Presumably, he’ll need to appear in front of the grand jury as a witness sooner rather than later.</p>

<p id=”par-4_98″>While Neo Langston is wanted as a witness, he has not been charged in the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez and has not been named as a suspect in the teen’s death. His arrest and expedition back to Los Angeles are solely for the purpose of appearing before a grand jury as a witness. While Langston has not been named as a suspect, reports do indicate the LAPD may be looking at <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/d4vd-suspect-death-celeste-rivas-report.html/”>a potential second suspect </a>aside from D4vd in th death of the teenager. It is unclear when or if arrests for the crime will be made.</p>

<p id=”par-5_51″>The grand jury began meeting back in December. They have yet to review all of the evidence and hear from all of the witnesses. Langston may not be the only witness who has opted to shirk their responsibility to appear. Whether more warrants will be issued remains to be seen, though.</p>
